DISPENSING
We can dispense all NHS and Private prescriptions for human and veterinary use.
We stock a wide range of medicines and surgical items. Any item
not stocked can usually be obtained fairly rapidly as we have
access to a variety of wholesalers.
We keep records of prescriptions dispensed. These records assist
us in checking which medicines (both prescription and over the
counter) are safe for you to take. The medicine labels will
automatically contain warnings and cautions about taking your
medicine. We also supply information leaflets and give advice
as required.

REPEAT PRESCRIPTION COLLECTION SERVICE
We operate a service which allows you to nominate us to collect your repeat prescription directly from your doctor. You can then call into our pharmacy where your prescription will be dispensed and ready for collection.

DELIVERY SERVICE
We operate a free delivery service for housebound patients, and for others at a small charge.

EMERGENCY PRESCRIPTION SUPPLIES
We may be able to give you a limited supply of your prescription medicine. We can only do this in a genuine emergency if it is impossible for you to get to your doctor.
Our pharmacist will be able to advise you.

OUT OF HOURS SERVICE AND EMERGENCY
PRESCRIPTIONS
If you have an urgent prescription that needs
to be dispensed out of normal working hours, then contact the
police. They hold a list of Pharmacists who may be called upon
to dispense in these circumstances.
Full details of Sunday, public holiday and evening rota pharmacy services are published in your local newspaper and surgery. Some pharmacies display a rota notice board, if this exists in your area.

MEDICINE CONTAINERS
Most medicines are supplied in the manufacturers packets. Loose medication is supplied in childproof containers, please ask for easy to open containers if you have difficulty.
***Always store medicines out of sight and reach of children.***

UNWANTED MEDICINES
Please do not hoard unused or unwanted
medicines. Return them to our pharmacy and they will be safely
destroyed by a nominated pharmaceutical waste contractor. Do
not throw medicines into your rubbish bins or flush them down
the toilet. Ask us about repeat medications if you are unsure
which items you require.

COMMUNITY DOSAGE SYSTEMS
We can recommend and supply special containers marked with daily or weekly doses. These are designed to ease medicine taking for those with difficulties.

RESIDENTIAL AND NURSING HOMES
We provide pharmaceutical services to local homes. this includes dispensing and delivering medicines, giving advice on their use, storage and their safe disposal.
We also supply monitored dosage systems and assist with record keeping.

OSTOMY, CONTINENCE SUPPLIES AND AIDS
FOR EASY LIVING
We are able to supply a large range of surgical
appliances for incontinence and stoma care prescriptions. We
can give confidential advice and supply useful items for incontience.
This includes mattress covers, pants, pads etc. for easier living.
We also stock and supply a comprehensive range of products to assist in making life a bit easier and more comfortable.

MEDICINE SALES
Our pharmacists, dispensers and trained medicine counter assistants are available to give free healthcare advice. We can advise on suitable treatment for minor aliments and will refer you to a doctor or other healthcare professional where necessary.
We have a quiet area for confidential consultations. We stock
a wide range of over the counter remedies, vitamins, food supplements
and special dietary foods. We have products for the care of
your skin, hair, nails, feet, teeth and eyes.

HEALTHY LIVING
We display a range of health education leaflets on various topics. These are frequently updated so please call in and collect one. The pharmacies from time to time will be promoting certain healthy living topics. We are involved in the early detection of undiagnosed conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure.

MEDICINE USE REVIEW
Our new Medicines Use Review service offers patients on long-term medication an opportunity to undertake a formal review of their medicines with an accredited pharmacist.
It will allow our pharmacist to establish a full picture of how you use your medicines - both prescribed and non-prescribed and help us to ensure that you are getting the best possible outcome from your treatment. The review is designed to support you to understand every part of your therapy, identify any problems you may be experiencing and offer mutually agreed solutions.
each review will last for approximately 20 minutes and will be completed in confidence in our private consultation area.
The service is provided free of charge to eligible patients.
